Impact Report
September 2024
Timberlake remains steadfast in our mission to Reach, Feed, and Release people to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Our community has witnessed remarkable growth, both in numbers and in the shared experience of worshiping together in the name of Jesus. This Impact Report serves as a testament to the ongoing commitment and collective strides we've made towards fostering spiritual transformation in the lives we touch. Join us as we reflect on the impactful moments and celebrate the progress achieved in living out our mission.
From Our Executive Pastor
Mark Coleman
Timberlake Family, greetings in the name of our savior, Jesus Christ!
In the last month, Timberlake has entered into high gear in Fall activities. While you may not be involved in every ministry area, please take the time to read each article. First, it will give you a broad understanding of the many areas of ministry at and through Timberlake. Secondly, I pray that you will recognize how God is providing and equipping each of us to serve Him in our mission at Timberlake. He is not only providing the people who are called to serve, but He is also moving in hearts of generosity and gratitude to provide the funds needed. Why? Because God is bringing to Timberlake the people who are searching for Christ, who need reaching, and feeding – both spiritually and physically, so that they can be released to serve Christ in the world as a disciple of Jesus.
Thank you, Timberlake, for your faithfulness.
Rev. Mark Coleman, Executive Pastor

Serving Impact Story - Traditional Choir
When asked to share why I choose singing in the choir as a way to serve, several reasons come to mind. First, because I LOVE music, especially worship music! There is nothing like those praise songs to lift you up when you’re down. Christmas music/singing can inspire you, convict you, and allow you to tell the story of JESUS and the goodness of God – that some have never heard. Singing encourages, builds others up, and heals broken hearts. I am so proud to be part of the music ministry at Timberlake Church and see God’s blessing on that ministry every Tuesday night in rehearsal and every Sunday morning as we come to sing and glorify HIS name. God empowers us as we bring a message in song and that joy can overflow to others. Psalm 100:1-2 tells us to make a joyful noise to the LORD all the earth and SERVE the Lord with gladness! Mission accepted!

Age-Level Ministries Updates
Kids
"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6
This past month, we celebrated a significant milestone with our TreeHouse Kids during Pop-Up Sunday. It was a day of excitement as all our elementary children moved up to their new grade levels for the school year. The highlight of the event was the special presentation of Bibles to children entering 3rd grade—an essential gift to guide them as they continue their faith journey.
For any 4th and 5th graders who had not yet received a Bible from Timberlake, we made sure they received one. In total, we had 133 children in attendance, 52 of whom were in 3rd to 5th grade, and we passed out 34 Bibles.
To capture the joy of the day, we set up a photo booth, and it was truly a day of new beginnings! We are thankful for the opportunity to support and encourage our children as they grow in their faith.
Students
Hello, church! This past month was a blessed month for Timberlake Student Ministries! We were thrilled to announce our Romania Summer 2025 Missions Trip to our Parents and Students, and the response was overwhelming! The number of students and parents interested in taking this journey with us to pour into men, women, and children overseas was truly inspiring.
We are deeply grateful for our parents' partnership in sending off their students to begin the new school year. For some parents, this is a time of celebration; for others, it is a challenging transition as their children reach new heights. We have had the privilege to pray over these teenagers, and we thank the parents for their prayers and support. This year, Student Ministries has been blessed with a large number of new students, and we are so thankful for all God is doing in our ministry and how He is working with the next generation.
We also would like to acknowledge all of our outstanding leaders! Thanks to our volunteers' help, we can continuously pour into the students week after week. We are thankful for the team God has blessed us with and for their impact on our ministry! This year alone, we have already had 400 hours of volunteer help; this ministry is abundantly blessed.
Thank you, Timberlake Church, for allowing us to walk alongside your wonderful teenagers! Praise God for the fantastic warriors of Christ they are becoming each day!
Young Adults
Director of Young Adult Ministries, Doug Kellog, went to Liberty University for Local Church Emphasis Day and then the very next week for the CSER (Christian Service) Expo. For both events, Doug set up a table with the help of volunteers from the young adults and the staff and had the opportunity to give out free iced coffee and invite Liberty students to our church. Based on market research it usually takes several events like this before you really start to see results. But on the Sunday after the first event, 20 students attended Sunday morning services. And then the next Sunday another 25 students came. Doug and the young adults have connected with each of them and they have continued attending church and some have expressed that they will be attending our LifeGroup as well. Pray for us as we continue to reach out to students at Liberty and other universities in the area so that we can help them grow closer to Jesus!
Seniors
Our kick off was the OWLS meeting on September 10, 2024 under the direction of Justine Kiger. We were blessed by the Glory Bound Singers. A talented group whose Bluegrass gospel was wonderful. Our very own Bill Cash sang “The Long Black Train” with them. We had a great meal and several new people.
A team of Seniors at Timberlake has met and are planning a Fall Directory for Seniors only (50 years old and older). Look out for more information. The Men’s breakfast group are back in the building every other Thursday. Men of all ages attend this breakfast.
Our Seniors have two Sunday School Classes that meet each Sunday after the 9 AM service. One meets in Hughes Hall with breakfast snacks and great teaching. The other class meets at the same time in the Mill. Those 50 years of age and above are invited to visit.
