From Our Executive Pastor
Mark Coleman
As we look back on November and December, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible ways God has moved in and through Timberlake during this special season. These months have been filled with worship, service, and celebration, each one demonstrating the faithfulness of our church and the abundant grace of God.
November was a time of thanksgiving and generosity. Through your selfless giving and servant hearts, we reached those in need and shared the love of Christ in tangible ways. While our tradition of hosting a Thanksgiving meal shifted this year, Timberlake stepped up with creativity and compassion, ensuring meals were provided to those who needed them most. God has used our hands and hearts to bless our community in powerful ways.
December brought us into the joyous anticipation of Christmas. From the beautiful Hanging of the Greens service that ushered in the Advent season to the heartfelt cantatas performed by our Treehouse Kids and Traditional Choir, each gathering reminded us of the hope and peace found in Christ alone. Our Candlelight Christmas Eve services were a highlight, drawing families together to celebrate Emmanuel—God with us—in a spirit of worship and gratitude.
These two months have also been a testimony to God’s provision through your generosity. Your faithfulness in giving has allowed us to continue reaching, feeding, and releasing people for Jesus. Every act of kindness, every hour of service, and every gift shared is a reflection of God’s love at work in and through Timberlake.
Thank you, Timberlake, for your dedication to the mission God has given us. Together, we are making an eternal impact for His Kingdom. As we turn the page to a new year, let us continue to be faithful stewards of His blessings, always seeking to glorify Him in all we do.

Christmas Eve At Timberlake
Our Christmas Eve services were an incredible blessing, filled with worship, fellowship, and the joy of celebrating Christ's birth. Across four unique services, we welcomed a total of 1,304 attendees, including many first-time guests. Each service featured a beautiful blend of music, from cherished carols that united our voices in praise to inspiring special performances that highlighted the hope and wonder of the season.
This year, our Christmas Eve Miracle offering was a shining example of God’s provision and the generosity of His people. Together, we raised over $142,000 to support Valor Farm and other vital missions in our community. This outpouring of love and support reflects the true spirit of Christmas, as we celebrated the birth of Christ by extending His hope and light to those in need.

Age-Level Ministries Updates
Kids
The end of 2024 was a season of gratitude and growth for TreeHouse Kids. November brought a heartwarming spirit of service as 40 children participated in a Thanksgiving outreach, assembling "Blessing Bags" for the Fillin’ Station. Our weekly attendance in November averaged 130 children, supported by 108 dedicated volunteers who served faithfully. In December, our focus shifted to the Advent season, with children exploring the themes of hope, peace, joy, and love through engaging lessons and creative activities.
We joyfully celebrated the birth of our Savior with a memorable Christmas cantata, When Jesus Was Born, directed by Deanna Bogden, where 24 TreeHouse Kids beautifully shared the story of Jesus' birth. Looking ahead to 2025, we are eager to expand the Leaders in Training (LIT) program, strengthen family engagement, and prepare for a meaningful Easter season. We remain deeply grateful for God’s faithfulness and the ongoing partnership of our church community in creating a vibrant space where children grow in faith and encounter Christ.
Blessings,
The TreeHouse Kids Team
Students
Hello Church!
As the Student Ministry team reflects on 2024, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible spiritual growth and transformation we’ve witnessed in our students. This year has been a testament to God’s faithfulness as students have embraced discipleship opportunities that deepened their faith and strengthened their community. Through large group meetings, small groups with intentional mentoring, and service initiatives, we’ve seen the next generation step boldly into their calling as followers of Christ.
The Advent season was a beautiful culmination of this year’s journey, inviting students to reflect on the miraculous gift of Christ’s birth. One memorable moment was a simple time of devotion at the Timberlake Starbucks. Surrounded by the buzz of the season, we sipped our lattes with uncontainable joy, radiating Christ’s love to everyone around us; we know they appreciated it!
Another highlight was participating in the Christmas Blessings initiative. Our students partnered with Timberlake leaders to shop, serve, and pray for children and peers in need. This act of generosity demonstrated their growing hearts for service and their willingness to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Throughout the year, our focus remained on equipping students to see God’s bigger story in their lives and the world. They’ve grown in Scripture, prayer, and servant leadership, leaving a tangible impact on our ministry, church, and community.
We are deeply grateful for your prayers and support as we journey together in raising up this generation for Christ. Here’s to an exciting 2025 filled with even greater kingdom impact!
Young Adults
In the past two months, we’ve witnessed God’s incredible work through Timberlake Church’s young adult ministry. It all started with a simple act of kindness. One of our staff members was driving through town when he noticed a young couple along the road, clearly in need of a ride. Compelled by the Holy Spirit, he stopped and offered to help. As they talked, he learned they were young adults facing significant challenges and immediately thought of our ministry. He called me, knowing we could support them in their time of need.
When I met the couple, they shared their struggles, including the dire situation they were in—running low on food and unsure of their next steps. I connected them with several of our church’s food ministries, and within hours, they were provided with meals, groceries, and words of encouragement from loving volunteers.
But God wasn’t done yet. The couple began to feel a sense of hope and belonging they hadn’t experienced in a long time. Over the following weeks, they stayed connected with Douglas and Jessie and shared how the love of Christ, demonstrated through our food ministries, uplifted them and pointed them to Him.
What began as one staff member seeing a need and stepping in has become a powerful testimony of God’s provision. Through these small acts of obedience, God is moving mightily in their lives, drawing them closer to Him and showing them His unfailing love.
Seniors
OWLS
November 12, 2024 the OWLS and the CDC students partnered together in the celebration of Veterans Day. The OWLS hosted a lunch and the CDC students heid an indoor parade. The event is always a blessing to all who are able to attend.

Our Timberlake Men continue their every other Thursday breakfast. This is a great time of fellowship and food. Each week there is a devotional lead by one of the men. The Men are also helping with the “Together Nights” by setting up the tables and chairs.

We have several people who are assisting with visiting our people who are in nursing homes, or hospitals. We are thankful for their service as are the people receiving the visits.
Meals Ministry
Each Thursday Kristen Moore and her crew prepare meals for who have been sick or need the encouragement of a hot meal. Volunteers pick up the meals and deliver them to the homes of our folks.
Senior Ministry
Our Seniors have two Sunday School Classes each Sunday morning. The New Beginnings Class meets at 10 AM in the Mill, led by Pastor Joe and Cindy Elmore. Currently, the class is studying the book of Revelation.
The Good News Class meets are 10 AM in Hughes Hall, under the leadership of Gary Johnson and Larry Scott. This class often use videos from teachers like Andy Stanley, Josh McDowell and Max Lucado. The class always have wonderful snacks.
Directory
The final sessions were held on December 9 and 10. We look forward to assembling the directory, and getting it distributed. Thank you to all who participated.
Update
The Child Development Center focused on all our blessings during the Thanksgiving season. Items were brought in by children across age groups to donate to the Fillin' Station for their upcoming Christmas distribution. We encourage our participants to be thankful for all God has given us and look for ways we can bless others.
As we move into the Christmas season, the children are learning about God's son, Jesus, and how he is the greatest gift we can ever receive. Our preschoolers presented "Good Tidings of Great Joy" Christmas program to their families and friends early this month. The sanctuary was filled with guests who were welcomed into Timberlake Church during two sessions to enjoy singing and laughs together. Our school age children are collecting items to distribute during their annual Christmas Carol visits to a few local nursing homes. Large print Bibles have been purchased to gift to some of the residents.
We are so thankful for the support of Timberlake Church Missions team for purchasing the remaining items on the teachers wish lists. Much joy will come from these resources as they are utilized for the developmental growth of these young children.
