ADVENT SERMON SERIES
BREAD OF HEAVEN
In chapter 2 verse 12 of his gospel, Luke writes a classic part of the Christmas story: “This will be a sign for you: you will find a child wrapped in bands of cloth and lying in a manger.” This is a SIGN for you, that is, we’re supposed to notice! This is how we know that the angel’s words are true. This is how we know that God is fulfilling his promises. The Savior of the world will be laid in a manger, that is, an animal feed trough. No wonder Jesus called himself the Bread of Life. He is the spiritual food sent by God the Father to feed us such that we will never be hungry again. Therefore, Christmas is a feast… a Christ-centered celebration of the gift God has given us, and an opportunity for us to feed each other and our neighbors with the good news of the gospel. Let’s eat!

CHRISTMAS EVE MIRACLE OFFERING
THE MISSIONS OF TIMBERLAKE
Each year, our church dedicates a special Christmas Eve offering to support the various missions and ministries of Timberlake. In the past, we have contributed to our feeding mission, hurricane relief in Puerto Rico, and many other impactful causes. This year, we are excited to continue to direct our offering to support all of Timberlake’s missions, such as The Fillin’ Station, Rise Against Hunger, and our Meal Ministry.
In addition, we are thrilled to announce a new focus this year: building a Timberlake House at Valor Farm. This initiative will create a space that provides hope and restoration for veterans in need, empowering them with the resources and support to rebuild their lives.
Together, we can make a lasting impact in the lives of others. Thank you for your generosity as we celebrate the season of giving and reflect the love of Christ to those around us.

Please bring your financial gift on Christmas Eve, December 24th, to any of our four worship services (11 AM, 3 PM, 5PM, 11 PM) and let’s see what God will do with our collective offering of sacrifice!

OTHER MISSION OPPORTUNITIES
Here are some opportunities for you to give back this season!
CHRISTMAS
BLESSINGS
Thru December 1
The mission of 'Christmas Blessings' was spurred out of the desire to provide Christmas for children that are in need. We know there are many children in our community who are food insecure every week. The opportunity to bless these children and their families with gifts for Christmas is not something we take lightly as a church! This mission has become a beautiful way to extend the love of Jesus and the season's excitement to the families in our community who may not have much to celebrate.
TOY
DRIVE
Timberlake Church had 139 families at the Fillin Station Food Pantry this past week.
There is a huge need in our community!
Gather your gently used toys and we can bless our neighbors at our Fillin Station.
Reminder: The drop off is 12/11 (6-6:30pm) or 12/15 (after all three services).
There are no parameters on donated toys, we just ask that they are in good shape(gently used).
*If you're interested in helping out for the actual Toy Drive, send a message to Tara Scruggs.*
