Romans 12:12
rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,

Reflection
I got a few “May the Fourth be with you” on May the fourth. For those that don’t know, that is Star Wars Day… a hallowed day to observe all things Star Wars. Conveniently it is right before Cinco De Mayo, where we celebrate all things Taco and Mexican (I have not hidden that I think Mexican food is my favorite eating out “cuisine”). LEGO always comes out with a major collector’s set on May the first (at midnight) to celebrate May the Fourth. I have the last several year’s sets in my office. This year’s set I intended to get. My birthday is in May, so all my monies are collected and I will reimburse the account to get the set.
This year (as always) Kelly got online at midnight and labored to get me the collector’s set. As always, the LEGO website crashes and starts to glitch. By the way, you want to get it ASAP because there is a special gift with purchase that is limited… so this midnight struggle is necessary. Our patience was running thin as the stupid website kept crashing. “LEGO is a multimillion-dollar company. Why do they always have website problems?” At 1:00 o’clock we (she) finally got the set, but not after I struggled with patience… and was reminded that I was losing my temper over tiny plastic parts. Amazing how insignificant things can cause me to lose my cool. If patience is a virtue, I seem to easily lose it. How about you?

Prayer
Heavenly God, help us to not easily lose our patience. Help us value you so much that the insignificant things in life will look so minor in comparison to you.
