Psalm 90:12-17
Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Relent, Lord! How long will it be? Have compassion on your servants. Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen trouble. May your deeds be shown to your servants, your splendor to their children. May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us- yes, establish the work of our hands.
Reflection: The Blessings of Aging

As we age, we often find ourselves facing challenges that we may not have experienced before. We may struggle with physical limitations, health issues, and changes in our relationships. But despite these challenges, we can still find joy and purpose in our lives.
In Psalm 90, we read the prayer of Moses, who is asking God to teach him to number his days. Moses is acknowledging that he is getting older and that his days are limited. But he is also asking God to show him how to make the most of the time he has left.
As we reflect on our own lives, I want to encourage you to do the same. Ask God to teach you to number your days, and to show you how to make the most of the time you have left.

1. What are some of the blessings that you have experienced as you've grown older? How have you seen God's hand at work in your life?
2. How do you make the most of your time? Are there any specific things that you do to stay engaged and fulfilled?
3. What are some of the challenges that you face as you age? How do you find joy and purpose in spite of these challenges?
Prayer
Dear God, thank you for being our rock and our refuge. Help us to trust in you and your goodness, even as we face the challenges of aging. May we find joy and purpose in every season of life, and may we glorify you with every breath we take. In Jesus' name, Amen.
