Christmas Eve

Have you ever wondered why so many people come to church on Christmas Eve?

For some, it’s probably family tradition.  For others, maybe a sense of guilt (I really should go to church more often!).  Many of us worship God every Sunday, so, of course, we would do the same on one of the holiest days of the year.

I sense that all people, believers and nonbelievers, frequent church attendees, and those who rarely come, are all aware of just how special Christmas really is.  God has become human.  The eternal Father of all humankind, the Creator of the world, has broken into the reality of our humble lives to show us how much he loves us, and to save us from our sins.  That is worth celebrating.

I hope you will be here for worship on Christmas Eve (3 PM, 5 PM, 11 PM).  Bring your friends and family.  We will have familiar carols, candlelight, and holy communion at all three services.

Let us delight in the good news of the birth of our Savior.

Merry Christmas,
Pastor Brad
